AI VISIBILITY AUDIT

Find the gap before you optimize it.

A useful audit shows two different things: whether your public site is machine-readable, and whether selected answer engines actually mention or cite your brand for the prompts that matter.

Illustrative AI visibility movement chart

The free CiteVano scan

The public scan evaluates website-level readiness: HTTPS, titles, metadata, topic clarity, visible content depth, JSON-LD, organization schema, canonical URLs, social metadata, sitemap discovery, optional llms.txt guidance, AI crawler policy and trust paths.

The model-level layer

Provider-backed tests are separate. They use a defined prompt set to observe whether a brand is mentioned, cited, shortlisted or omitted, and which competitors or sources appear instead.

MENTIONS

Are you in the answer?

Presence across selected commercial prompts.

CITATIONS

Is your domain evidence?

Whether the brand’s site or supporting sources are cited.

SHARE

Who owns the shortlist?

Recommendation coverage versus chosen competitors.

What a good audit should never claim

It should not present a proprietary technical score as if a third-party model issued it. It should not guarantee future rankings. It should preserve the prompt set and observation date so comparisons remain meaningful.
